The Black Bess Group of Companies starts with Black Bess Quarry Ltd.
Formed in 1992 Black Bess Quarry Ltd. was contracted to build the Royal Westmoreland Golf Course, involving construction of the following:

All major earthworks and course shaping.
Course drainage
Lake construction
Golf cart paths
All road networks and infrastructure.

Black Bess Quarry Ltd. is currently one of the largest construction firms in the industry offering very competitive rates for both contract work and equipment rentals.

Black Bess Quarry Ltd.

Three main departments are contracts, quarry sales and equipment rentals.
Contracts department controls all tendering, execution and evaluation of public and private contracts and all heavy equipment related construction projects. BBQ subcontracts all civil works (concrete) to Pavements and Foundations Inc. a company within. Other affiliate subcontractors used for civil works are Quantum Group Ltd., and Contech Ltd.
Quarry sales provide all types of aggregate for the general public as well as to our sister company Premix & Precast Concrete Inc. for the manufacture of their concrete products, and to the contracts department for projects requiring aggregate supply.
Equipment rentals department rents all heavy construction equipment to the general public and to other major building companies such as Rotherley, Niccolls & Edghill and Abacus Builders.

Garbage Master Ltd.

Independent of most operations at BBQ, this company rents office space at the compound and uses our landfills at Hanson and Warleigh to dispose of all materials except domestic / commercial garbage.

Pavements & Foundations Inc.

Set up by BBQ, this is a civil works company which specializes in decorative concrete paving, road building and private and commercial foundation construction. It is subcontracted by BBQ to build all concrete structures such as curbs, drainage units, roads etc in our various commercial projects. It is also contracted by Premix & Precast Concrete Inc. to provide labour for the casting of commercial and domestic building floors. All concrete used by P&F for the decorative and road building contracts is purchased from PPCI.

Premix & Precast Concrete Inc.

This company was set up by BBQ and Ready-Mix (Trinidad) Ltd. This company produces ready mixed concrete and is now the second largest supplier in the Island. All aggregate used for their production of concrete products is purchased from Black Bess Quarry.
